Client Story
“Grindstone helped us create the ideal home – modern, open, and tailored to how we live. We now enjoy every inch of our space, and the view is unbeatable.”
Kingston Crescent Home Remodel
This outdated family home was completely reimagined to better suit the homeowners’ lifestyle while maximizing their stunning Red River views. The original layout featured a series of closed-off rooms that blocked natural light and visual flow.
We removed multiple load-bearing walls and installed structural flush beams to create an open-concept main floor — merging the kitchen, dining, and living areas into a single cohesive space. This reconfiguration opened up river views from the kitchen sink and created a warm, functional layout perfect for both daily living and entertaining.
Upstairs, we reworked the layout to create a larger ensuite bathroom with a custom-tiled shower and added a convenient second-floor laundry by repurposing a hall closet.
Upgrades also included a gas fireplace and gas range, enhancing comfort and lifestyle value throughout the home.
This transformation was executed through detailed planning, expert engineering, and our signature design-build approach — The Grindstone Way.
